Terms of Service

Version 1.1 · Effective 1 September 2026

These terms explain what Grabit is, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you when you use the app. They are written for people using Grabit as customers. If you run a business on Grabit, the Business Terms apply as well.

1. Who these terms are with

Grabit is operated by Jowski Labs Ltd, trading as Grabit. These terms form an agreement between you and Jowski Labs Ltd:

Jowski Labs Ltd
Company number 17415221
Registered office: 9 Lanfranc Way, Liverpool, L16 1JU
Registered in England and Wales
hello@gograbit.co.uk

A Grabit customer account is free. Paid business features are provided by Jowski Labs Ltd under the separate Business Terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement where you live. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Keep your account details accurate. Don't impersonate someone else, and don't create an account to get around a suspension.

3. What Grabit is

Grabit is a local discovery platform. It shows business Drops and offers, Community Spots posted by other users, business profiles, a Feed of local content, and rewards or loyalty programmes run by businesses. Grabit helps you find these things; it is not the seller of the goods or services behind them.

4. Our role as a platform

  • Businesses are responsible for their own Drops and offers, including descriptions, prices, terms, stock, availability and honouring what they publish.
  • Community Spots are posted by other users. They may be out of date, inaccurate, already gone, or simply wrong. Treat them as a tip, not a promise.
  • We do not independently check every listing, and we do not guarantee that an offer will be available, of a particular quality or value, or suitable for you.
  • Verified badges reflect checks we have carried out on a business's identity. They are not a guarantee of the quality of what the business sells.

None of this affects your statutory rights against a business you actually buy from, and nothing in these terms is intended to take those rights away.

5. Live, scheduled, expired and sold-out items

Drops and Spots move through states: scheduled before they start, live while they run, and sold out, expired or ended afterwards. Availability can change at any moment, including between the app showing something and you arriving.

Saving an item, setting a reminder or receiving a notification does not reserve anything and does not guarantee it will still be there. Notifications are best-effort and depend on your device, browser and network.

6. Grabbing and redeeming offers

When you grab an offer, Grabit may issue a redemption record with a code or a QR token that the business scans or confirms in person. QR tokens are single-use and expire after a short time, so generate one when you are ready to redeem. Where an offer is marked “one per person”, that limit applies per account.

Don't try to defeat these controls — for example by sharing, copying, screenshotting for reuse, reselling or automating codes, creating multiple accounts, or claiming a redemption you did not make. We may void redemptions and restrict accounts where we reasonably believe this has happened.

The offer itself is between you and the business. If a business refuses to honour a valid live offer, tell us — we can act on the business's standing on Grabit, but any consumer remedy for the purchase itself is against that business.

7. Your content

You are responsible for what you post: Feed posts, Community Spots, comments and replies, photos and video links, ratings and reviews. Only post content you have the right to share, and make sure reviews reflect a genuine experience.

You keep ownership of your content. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display it within Grabit so we can operate and promote the service. This licence exists so the app can work; it ends for future use when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we need to keep for legal, safety or backup reasons, and for content others have already interacted with in a way we cannot unwind.

We can remove content, hide it, or limit its reach if we reasonably believe it breaches these terms or the law, and users can report content to us for review.

8. Messaging businesses

Messages between you and a business must stay relevant to the Drop or offer they relate to. Businesses may reply within conversations you started; they should not use Grabit messaging for unsolicited marketing. Don't send abusive, threatening or spam messages, and don't share other people's personal details in a conversation.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use Grabit to:

  • post illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful content;
  • impersonate a person or business, or misrepresent your connection to one;
  • post misleading Spots, fake offers, fake reviews or spam;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data, or use bots to interact with the service;
  • probe, disrupt or attempt to bypass our security, rate limits or access controls;
  • commit or facilitate fraudulent redemption of offers or rewards;
  • infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Grabit at any time and delete your account from Privacy & Safety → Delete my account.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account where these terms are breached, where the service is being abused, or where we are required to by law. We will take proportionate action and, where it is reasonable to do so, tell you why and give you a chance to respond — except in serious cases involving safety, security, fraud or a legal requirement, where we may act immediately.

11. Paid features

Grabit is free for customers. There is nothing for a customer account to buy: grabbing offers, saving, following and rewards do not cost money. Paid features — subscriptions, credits, boosts and promotional tools — exist only for business accounts and are covered by the Business Terms. Anything you buy from a business itself is a transaction with that business, not with Grabit.

12. Our intellectual property

Grabit's name, logo, design, software and content (other than user and business content) belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app as intended, but you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or create derivative works from it without our permission.

14. Changes to the service and availability

Grabit is provided on an “as available” basis. We are actively developing the product, so features can change, be added or be withdrawn, and there may be interruptions for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We will avoid removing something you rely on without reasonable notice where we can.

15. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability where the law does not allow it — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by these terms.

Beyond that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of businesses or other users, for the accuracy of Community Spots, for an offer being unavailable when you arrive, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

16. Complaints and contact

If something goes wrong, email hello@gograbit.co.uk and tell us what happened. We will look into it and reply. You can also report a Drop, Spot or review directly in the app.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Each version has a version number and effective date shown at the top of this page, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account. Where a change is material we will make it visible in the app and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the new version before continuing. If you don't accept it, you can stop using Grabit and delete your account.

18. App stores and third-party platforms

If you use Grabit through an app distributed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, that platform's own terms also apply to your use of the app and to any purchase made through its billing system. Those platforms are not parties to this agreement between you and Jowski Labs Ltd, and they are not responsible for Grabit's content or services, except where their platform terms require otherwise — in which case those requirements apply to the extent they must.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules and any right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence that cannot lawfully be excluded.
